THE
DALLAS
FOUNDATION
TRIADFUND
GRANT AWARD
We
are proud to announce CIS was funded for a
third year with a grant from the Dallas Foundation’s TRIAD (Texas
Resources for Iraq-Afghanistan Deployment) Fund for the 2009-10 school year. This funding has been made available to
assist American military personnel, active duty,
reserve, National Guard, and veteran and/or
their families who have unmet needs due to death, injury, or
other physical or mental detriment, or financial hardship, as a
result of service in Iraq and Afghanistan and who are receiving
services in Texas.
As a result of the
recent tragedy at Fort Hood on November 5, 2009, the TRIAD Fund
of the San Antonio Foundation has provided funding for an
additional two schools within the Fort Hood area for the
remainder of the 2009-10 school year.
Communities In Schools and the
children and families it serves cannot express their gratitude
enough to the Dallas Foundation, The San Antonio Foundation and the TRIAD Fund for their
support!
